From creating LGBT+ content in Arabic to supporting individuals to helping organizations working on the ground, SEAT does it all.
El Kanaba الكنبة
From Fall of 2020 through Spring of 2021 Shrouk recorded and released the first season of El-Kanaba, an interview series meant to create content by LGBT+ Arabs for LGBT+ Arabs. This series and accompanying content created over four hundred twenty minutes of video content and amassed over 27,000 views on Instagram alone. You can access this video content on IGTV here.
For LGBT+ History Month SEAT began a campaign to raise money to help fund the activists Shrouk was interviewing. Through generous donations, we were able to raise £1,200. With this campaign being such a smashing success, we look forward to making more episodes of El-Kanaba in the future!

Helping Organizations in the Middle East and North Africa
SEAT uses our reach to help organizations that are working to support LGBT+ communities in Egypt and the surrounding nations. These organizations do work to increase awareness of gender and LGBT+ inequality. Our donations have helped provide regular maintenance and funds for programming.
Supporting Individuals.
Not everyone has access to a community. Through donations directly to individuals, we provide monetary support for refugees and those living in unsafe environments in Egypt and the surrounding region. In 2020 we provided support to 19 individuals.
